SERP API

SERP API

Twelve SERP operations, one Bearer key

Google, Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo: live · Baidu and Ecosia: opening soon · not GA

One /v1/serp surface for organic search results as JSON across six engines, Google News and Images, and poll-based Google tasks. This page answers three questions: which endpoint to call, sync or async, and how searches are metered.

API keys work today for Google, Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo organic. Baidu and Ecosia endpoints opening soon.

Minimal request · Google organic (live)
POST /v1/serp/google/organic
Authorization: Bearer <api_key>
Content-Type: application/json

{"q": "serp api"}

Omitted fields use the SerpGoogleOrganicRequest defaults: country=US, hl=en, device=desktop. Response shape: SERP JSON API.

Each engine's status comes from one launch configuration. Organic is available on every engine; News, Images and async tasks are Google only.

Endpoint decision tree

  1. Pick the engine. Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Baidu and Ecosia each have one organic path, for example POST /v1/serp/bing/organic. Google has its own paths.
  2. On Google, pick the vertical. Organic, News or Images: POST /v1/serp/google/organic, /news or /images. Other engines are organic only.
  3. Need bulk on Google? Enqueue with POST /v1/serp/google/{vertical}/tasks (202 + task_id), then poll GET /v1/serp/tasks/{task_id}. There is no callback. Otherwise stay on the sync endpoint.

Credits & billing

SERP searches are charged per successful search at a display rate of 2 Credits per search; failed searches are not charged. Polling task status is free. The current rate is on Pricing. See Pricing.

What this is not

  • No webhooks or callbacks — async results are retrieved by polling GET /v1/serp/tasks/{task_id}.
  • No AI Overview (AIO) extraction and no answer-box guarantees.
  • No raw HTML or Markdown page output — responses are normalized JSON only.
  • Mobile results are not promised; device is a request hint on Google organic only.
  • No published SLA, uptime or success-rate figures, and not generally available (not GA).
  • Not the separate SEO API or Semrush SERP adapters — this is the /v1/serp/* surface only.
