Is There an Unlimited SERP API?

Google, Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo: live · Baidu and Ecosia: opening soon · not GA

Every search costs the provider a fetch, so plans sold as unlimited cap usage somewhere else. Here is where to look, and the formula we use instead.

Where the cap hides

Categories to check in any plan sold as unlimited. These are kinds of limits, not claims about a provider.

  • Concurrency: how many requests may run at once.
  • Daily or monthly ceilings written into the plan details.
  • Fair-use clauses that let the provider decide what counts as normal use.
  • Throttling: requests slow down after a threshold instead of failing.

Our metering formula

Cost of a run
cost = successful searches × 2 Credits # display rate
failed searches → not charged
task polling → free

Rate limits still apply and are signaled with 429 and Retry-After; this page does not quote thresholds.
